What does your 2007 NBA MVP list look like?

Mine (just for grins) is:

1. Dirk (all around greatness on a nightly basis, VERY efficient with very good numbers, makes his teammates %26amp; W/L record look very good, has a great attitude that reflects w/ other players, does whatever his team needs him to do to win bc thats really all he cares about, main reason for that team being the favorite to win it all this year, and almost every NBA player questioned said he deserves it).

2. Lebron (makes a mediocre team into one of the best in the east and a contender for championhip)

3. Nash (just watch them play without him. haha. also makes his team into a contender)

4. Duncan (another one who makes his team into a contender)

-and now the talented players who do a lot for their team, but probably don't have a shot because they have been off/on or cant carry their team to a respectable record.

(which is why lebron is so impressive b/c that team isnt so good unless you factor him in)

5. K G

6. Arenas

7. Redd

8. Tmac

9. Kobe

10. Bosh

Dirk - Not picking him is just re-DIRK-ulous !!!

Nash - Good, but not the best

Duncan - just had a bad start, but he's got it now.

why the hell people say Kobe is rediculous. he might score 50 a game, but thats because he won't pass.

Last night 53 points, but only 2 reb's. 2 assists, and 0 steals.

MVP my ***.
ok first to get an MVP you have to have a decent team running in the playoffs, for example Redd and K.G will not get an MVP this year because their team isnt doing well. you have to improve your teammates skill level also and make their game higher. Thus, i like Dirk will be the MVP because he shows his leadership on the court by making his team be number 1 in the west and in the NBA. He is also a great shooter and has never won the MVP, to give it to Nash is a mistake because he has already won the MVP twice and he doesnt demonstrate any improvement in his team, their always in the same spot in the playoffs, so i pick

1. Dirk

2. Duncan

3. Nash

4. Billups

5. Lebron
1. Kobe Bryant

2. Dirk Nowitski

3. Steve Nash
1. Dirk

2. Nash

3. Lebron

side note- any1 who says kobe is plain retarded. he wasn't even THOUGHT of in the top 10 until he had 4 50 point games against horrible teams. they lost 7 in a row before that. so if a few high scoring games gets mvp, then Arenas/AI/Redd deserve it as much if not more than Kobe. But i'm not worried. I don't think the voters (coaches, gms, etc.) are as dumb as kobe fans
1. Dirk Nowitski, Dallas

I wonder how many injuries there were last week by fans hurting themselves jumping off the "Dirk for MVP" bandwagon? He stumbles down the stretch of one important matchup and the next thing you know people are writing him letters and stuff. Anyway, Dirk bounced back nicely and led the Mavs to wins over the Celtics and Pistons.

2. Steve Nash, Phoenix

If anyone was looking for the definition of MVP, check out the plays Nash made at the end of regulation and the overtime periods in the Suns' win against the Mavericks last week. It doesn't get any better. Then he let all of the air out of the balloon when Phoenix followed that effort with back-to-back losses.

3. LeBron James, Cleveland

Watch out Detroit. Chauncey Billups is hurt and LeBron has the Cavaliers, who have won eight straight, playing their best ball of the season. Did you see his line against the Jazz on Saturday (24 points, 17 rebounds and nine assists)?

4. Kobe Bryant, L.A. Lakers

Hey KB24, I'm glad to see you were motivated by R2MVP dropping you in the rankings last week. Anyway, R2MVP wrote in the Week 19 rankings that one man can't win a game by himself. Obviously, Kobe proved that wrong. Twice.

5. Tracy McGrady, Houston

T-Mac is in a groove, putting up stellar numbers and working well with Yao. In his last three contests, the swingman went for 21 points and nine assists, 24 and seven and 21 and eight and just as important, Houston won all three games.

6. Gilbert Arenas, Washington

First things first. Congratulations Gil on the birth of your son Alijah Amani Arenas. After a brief rough patch, Arenas and the Wizards are on track again, winning two straight. Arenas has scored at least 25 points in Washington's past seven games.

7. Tim Duncan, San Antonio

First the good: Timmy put up a sick line of 20 points, 16 rebounds (ninth time this season with at least that many) and seven blocks against the Celtics on Saturday. Now the bad: He has only reached the 20-point mark twice in his past seven games and the Spurs have dropped two games in a row.

8. Chris Bosh, Toronto

PPG RPG APG SPG BPG FG% FT%

22.7 10.4 2.4 0.5 1.4 .504 .767

Last Week's Rank - 8

Hey Toronto fans, do me a favor and calm down. Yes, Bosh has turned into one of the most consistent players in the league. And yes, you guys have all but sewed up the Atlantic Division but easy with the "We're going to the NBA Finals" e-mails. You're still a year or two and a player or two away.

9. Carmelo Anthony, Denver

PPG RPG APG SPG BPG FG% FT%

29.8 6.2 4.0 1.2 0.4 .476 .809

Last Week's Rank - 12

It's all starting to come together for Anthony and fellow superstar Allen Iverson. They have shown there are enough shot attempts for both, and the Nuggets - winners of four straight - are definitely the team nobody wants to face in the postseason. It will be an interesting battle to see who wins the scoring title: Melo or Kobe?

10. Kevin Garnett, Minnesota

PPG RPG APG SPG BPG FG% FT%

23.0 12.6 4.2 1.3 1.7 .483 .833

Last Week's Rank - 9

KG is the only member of the top 10 whose team has a losing record. Garnett, who has 18,809 career points, needs 13 more to pass Knicks coach Isiah Thomas for 44th on the all-time list.
1. Dirk 2. Lebron 3. Nash
It will be either dirk or lebron or nash. so yea, your list looks good.
Kobe, Lebron, Arenas
Dirk. That is all.
