Was the NBA MVP a correct decision?

Steve Nash's stats were up in every category from his last two MVP seasons, and Dirk's point average was down from last season. Did Steve get robbed?

I believe that the NBA made a mistake on picking the season's MVP. Even though Dirk was playing well during the season, he was horrible during the playoffs. If you ask me I think that the Mavs could have done better without him. I feel that Nash playled as well or maybe even better then Dirk during the season, and he also had the same kind of game during the playoffs. I honestly think that Nash should have been the 06-07 MVP, and he should have made history by doing it three times in a row. In the future I think that the MVP award should be handed out to the player who did not just play well during the regular season, but to a player who played great in the playoffs also, and who did not choke like Dirk.

I don't like either Nash or Dirk. In a matter of fact I hate them, but I respect their play. Their great players and I take nothing away from them. The bottom line is that Kobe should of won the past 2 years now. His stats were better than Nash and Dirk. Nash just had the assists edge on Kobe and that's it. Kobe led the league in points, Led his team in assists, All-Star MVP, passed Jordan 4th all-time in most 50 point games, carried his team all season injury free to the playoffs. Then he basically burned out. I can see if he didn't make the playoffs it would be a different story. What can this man do to win MVP? He's done more than some past MVP winners. I just don't understand why the nba commisoners would screw him like that.
no because kobe was better than steve nash the past three or two years. he deserved, there's always next year, give him point for winning
I think so.
since the MVP voting was done right before the playoffs began and it is based on the body of work during the regular season, i think it is fair. though you can't discount what steve nash has done, dirk was instrumental for dallas ending up with the leagues best record. it just sucks for him that he was not able to get the mavs pass the warriors.
wellnot really dirk dominated but i think dat steve nash is still one of da best players
how they came up with that one just puzzles the bell out of me. wierd! the most valuable play of the year is not yet known in my book. it tend to think it will be tim duncan but it could be williams on the jazz or the cav's big meathead, lebron (yuk) james. up to now i would have to choose tim duncan as the most valuable player to his team. not some guy who never made it to the championship! it certainly wasn't kobe because he didn't make it to the playoffs and he raped a white motel clerk in colorado. he and the coach should leave town. the whole minnisota lakers should leave town. derek fisher could be mvp? mvp obviously doesn't mean a damn thing and they shouldn't bother to designate anybody.
