I guess he deserved it.....but if the officials voted on the regular season AND the playoffs.......He wouldn't have recieved it. I still Have no love for Nowitzki...or the Mav's. Sorry.

he doesnt deserve it... your MVP has to be reliable and consistent throughout... he cant chock during the playoffs...

i think he deserves it.. he got the mavs to an NBA record with 67 wins so ya he deserves it... although he did bad in the playoffs dirk deserves it
dirk was good this year but look at lebron and the cavs dirk has a good team around him and lebron only has so-so team mates and lebron is father than dirk in the playoffs

Not pleased. Yeah he did a lot, but did he beat GS? Nope. They got owned. I would like to have seen Baron Davis get it. He got them INTO the playoffs AND knocked off a number one seed that was expected to win it all.
Well, if not Dirk, than who? Yes the Mavs ruined any chance he had of getting it without controversy due to the Warriors upset of them in Rd. 1, but c'mon, it wasn't all Dirk. Avery Johnson had no answers for Don Nelson's approach to defusing the Mavs and you were lucky if you could spot Dirk next to four guys who looked like they belonged in the playoffs at any given time during the entire series. Kobe? Yeah he's a one man show, but if you were going to knock Dirk, there's no way you could validate Kobe getting it. LeBron? Posssibly, but Dirk's overall year-round performance was much better than the King's. Steve Nash is the only other person i could conceive getting the award, and though I do think he deserved it as much as Dirk, it's not fair to tear apart Dirk for one fluke playoff upset. Blame the cast and coach, and please...PLEASE blame Marc Cuban, because I guarantee you no matter what, he will not help the Mavs this offseason, he'll only hurt them by hitting the panic button and going for players and personnel he thinks will better Dirk, as oppose to better the team.
