If Spurs close it out in Game 4 or Game 5 in Cleveland, should Bruce Bowen be NBA Finals MVP?

If, and that is a big if, the Spurs close out the NBA Finals this week in either game 4 or game 5 of the 2007 NBA Finals, should 36 year old Bruce Bowen be named NBA Finals MVP particularly after his Game 3 performance with 13 points (what 4 three pointers) and a game high 9 rebounds for the Spurs while defending 22 year old LeBron the entire NBA Finals and where Bowen defended LeBron for like for over 43 minutes in Game Three?

Bruce Bowen is a great role player. He is mainly a defensive player, although he was the leading scorer at one point in the game Sunday. He is a great player and necessary for the spurs to win, but not at all the mvp. Manu can't be the MVP because he doesn't start. He is really good but I don't think you can give it to him coming off the bench. Tony Parker should probably get it, but he wouldn't be doing as well if a great deal of the focus wasn't on Tim Duncan. The impossible shots Tony Parker makes, I think he should get it because Duncan hasn't been able to produce MVP quality performances. Duncan is the best player on the team and should have been in the talk for league MVP but Parker is the finals MVP.

No, it should be Tony Parker.

He made a million 3-pointers, a bunch of wild layups through 3 defenders, and a bunch of other amazing plays.

This'll be sort of like a wedding gift to him from his team
Parker deserves the MVP for this series so far. He's the one driving their success.

Bowen? That hack shouldn't even be out on the floor. Check out what he's doing when LeBron is trying to make a cut and gets away from him. Bowen is grabbing the jersey and shorts, hand-checking off the ball, and in general being the cheap-shot that he is. When is the NBA going to realize what a dirty player he is and get rid of his tactics? He fouled LeBron in the act of shooting the final 3-pointer last night - the last time I checked, grabbing a player's jersey while that player was shooting is a foul - but the refs once again look the other way when Bowen's doing his dirty work.
I have thought that Bowen needed to be MVP after I have watched the last three games. LeBron's knees are very weak. He's been carrying the whole team. Ha! Ha!
no hes mdp (most dirtiest player)
hell no. it'll be between Duncan, Parker or Manu
spurs suck
He is doing a great job on LeBron but I think it should be Parker.

If it isn't Parker then it should be Duncan.
That is an impressive line by Bruce Bowen but,

Tony Parker has taken his play to another level in the finals he is averaging a team hi 24.7 pts per game in the final that coincides with 50% shooting from the field that includes 53% shooting from the 3 pt line. But he is also making the big plays when they need him. Its got to be Parker
I do no think you can give Bowen MVP. I think that Tony Parker has been the best player in the series. I think that Bowen is doing a good job, but stopping LeBron is not all him. He has probly the best help defense in the league and it seems as though LeBron has been nervouse in the Finals. Bowen has played well but I think the Spurs could still be up 3-0 without him. However, I think that if you take away Parker this would be a much closer series. That is why Parker is the most valuable player of Bowen.
hell no, im in complete agreement with mark w
Parker

Duncan

Bowen

Ginobili

In that order, it is very hard for a defensive player to get MVP considering Duncan may not score the most in a game but he does so much more to win. I personally like Ginobili the most as my favorite player but Duncan is so solid and consistent through the playoffs that he might get MVP again if Parker doesn't get it for his incredible point scoring and clutch points through out game 2 and 3.

Either way I will be happy with any 4 of them

GO SPURS!!! 99' 03' 05' 07'
no.manu will be MVP(i hope)
I think Tony Parker deserves the Finals MVP award.
duncan is the mvp. just because he wasnt the #1 scorer during the series doesnt mean he doesnt deserve it. look at the other 3 times its no differeny
I don't think so. I agree that Bowen played well while he marked LeBron. But his role in these games wasn't as big as Parker's or Duncan's. Especially Parker... I choose him to be the NBA Finals MVP. He is the engine of Spurs. Bravo Parker!!! ^_^
If bowen gets the mvp, then the MOB will have one person

on each NBA team named the enforcer to wack people.

Can you say Sopranos?
Tony Parker will likely win it.
I think Bruce Bowen is doing a phenomenal job on Lebron, but no way!

Tony Parker should be MVP. He put on a show in games 1 and 2. He also made a huge and timely 3 pointer last night, that puts him in the MVP category.
