If Spurs close it out in Game 4 or Game 5 in Cleveland, should Bruce Bowen be NBA Finals MVP?

If, and that is a big if, the Spurs close out the NBA Finals this week in either game 4 or game 5 of the 2007 NBA Finals, should 36 year old Bruce Bowen be named NBA Finals MVP particularly after his Game 3 performance with 13 points (what 4 three pointers) and a game high 9 rebounds for the Spurs while defending 22 year old LeBron the entire NBA Finals and where Bowen defended LeBron for like for over 43 minutes in Game Three?

If Spurs close it out in Game 4 or Game 5 in Cleveland, should Bruce Bowen be NBA Finals MVP?tickets

Bruce Bowen is a great role player. He is mainly a defensive player, although he was the leading scorer at one point in the game Sunday. He is a great player and necessary for the spurs to win, but not at all the mvp. Manu can't be the MVP because he doesn't start. He is really good but I don't think you can give it to him coming off the bench. Tony Parker should probably get it, but he wouldn't be doing as well if a great deal of the focus wasn't on Tim Duncan. The impossible shots Tony Parker makes, I think he should get it because Duncan hasn't been able to produce MVP quality performances. Duncan is the best player on the team and should have been in the talk for league MVP but Parker is the finals MVP.

If Spurs close it out in Game 4 or Game 5 in Cleveland, should Bruce Bowen be NBA Finals MVP?nba ,nba teams

No, it should be Tony Parker.

He made a million 3-pointers, a bunch of wild layups through 3 defenders, and a bunch of other amazing plays.

This'll be sort of like a wedding gift to him from his team
Parker deserves the MVP for this series so far. He's the one driving their success.

Bowen? That hack shouldn't even be out on the floor. Check out what he's doing when LeBron is trying to make a cut and gets away from him. Bowen is grabbing the jersey and shorts, hand-checking off the ball, and in general being the cheap-shot that he is. When is the NBA going to realize what a dirty player he is and get rid of his tactics? He fouled LeBron in the act of shooting the final 3-pointer last night - the last time I checked, grabbing a player's jersey while that player was shooting is a foul - but the refs once again look the other way when Bowen's doing his dirty work.
I have thought that Bowen needed to be MVP after I have watched the last three games. LeBron's knees are very weak. He's been carrying the whole team. Ha! Ha!
no hes mdp (most dirtiest player)
hell no. it'll be between Duncan, Parker or Manu
spurs suck
He is doing a great job on LeBron but I think it should be Parker.

If it isn't Parker then it should be Duncan.
That is an impressive line by Bruce Bowen but,

Tony Parker has taken his play to another level in the finals he is averaging a team hi 24.7 pts per game in the final that coincides with 50% shooting from the field that includes 53% shooting from the 3 pt line. But he is also making the big plays when they need him. Its got to be Parker
I do no think you can give Bowen MVP. I think that Tony Parker has been the best player in the series. I think that Bowen is doing a good job, but stopping LeBron is not all him. He has probly the best help defense in the league and it seems as though LeBron has been nervouse in the Finals. Bowen has played well but I think the Spurs could still be up 3-0 without him. However, I think that if you take away Parker this would be a much closer series. That is why Parker is the most valuable player of Bowen.
hell no, im in complete agreement with mark w
Parker

Duncan

Bowen

Ginobili

In that order, it is very hard for a defensive player to get MVP considering Duncan may not score the most in a game but he does so much more to win. I personally like Ginobili the most as my favorite player but Duncan is so solid and consistent through the playoffs that he might get MVP again if Parker doesn't get it for his incredible point scoring and clutch points through out game 2 and 3.

Either way I will be happy with any 4 of them

GO SPURS!!! 99' 03' 05' 07'
no.manu will be MVP(i hope)
I think Tony Parker deserves the Finals MVP award.
duncan is the mvp. just because he wasnt the #1 scorer during the series doesnt mean he doesnt deserve it. look at the other 3 times its no differeny
I don't think so. I agree that Bowen played well while he marked LeBron. But his role in these games wasn't as big as Parker's or Duncan's. Especially Parker... I choose him to be the NBA Finals MVP. He is the engine of Spurs. Bravo Parker!!! ^_^
If bowen gets the mvp, then the MOB will have one person

on each NBA team named the enforcer to wack people.

Can you say Sopranos?
Tony Parker will likely win it.
I think Bruce Bowen is doing a phenomenal job on Lebron, but no way!

Tony Parker should be MVP. He put on a show in games 1 and 2. He also made a huge and timely 3 pointer last night, that puts him in the MVP category.

Who will be next year NBA mvp?

i will guess you people choose the best player as possible for the answer and choose wisely.

Who will be next year NBA mvp?basketball shoes

Kobe or Lebron

Who will be next year NBA mvp?nba champions ,nba teams

It's gonna be Kobe if he doesn't get jipped by Nash again...
Kirk Hinrich will be next year's Steve Nash.
Tracy McGrady or LeBron James
I wanna see Kobe improve a lot more and be a better team player...
LeBron James, he should have won it this year. And he's only going to get better. If he has better numbers than this year and doesn't win it again, then I'm going on a NBA strike.
it will be between LeBron James and Steve Nash
Next year I think it will be narrowed to 4 players

Allen Iverson if he can lead his team to the playoffs

Kobe Bryant if he is his usual self and keeps up with his record scoring

LeBron James if he can be a top 2 team in the Eastern Conference

Amare Stoudmire if he makes a clean comeback

I'd watch Amare he is a great player and this season which he didn't play he learned how to hit 3's. It's like Dirk but better.
Dwayne Wade...end of story...he'll really step up
steve nash or lebron james
Toss-up between LeBron James and Dirk Nowitzki
i say LeBron James if he does just as good as this year,

Who Is Going To Win This Years NBA MVP Race?

Is It Paul?, LeBron?, Garnett?, or KB24?, . WHO'S GUNNA WIN THE MVP???? My Answer Would Undoubtly Be Kobe Bryant, He Takes Games Over, And Is On The Best Team.

Who Is Going To Win This Years NBA MVP Race?celtics

Kobe Bryant. No question about it and I am a Sun's fan. Kobe is unquestionably the best player in the NBA it is surprising he still hasn't won the award, He takes over games and makes his teammates better

Who Is Going To Win This Years NBA MVP Race?nba ballers phenom ,nba teams

steve nash

won it 3 years
More and more emphasis is being put on the success of the winning teams. It used to be who was most able to give their team more success than if they did not have you.
thats a really unique question lol.......i think your gonna gets some surprising asnwers like KOBE! lol
your mother.
Kobe One Kinobe!

Kobe Bryant!
kobe bryant im saying this as a kings fan!!! honorable mentions would be cp3 and lebron james...
My Guess, Kobe ...

My Hope, Chris Paul

This season it's unfair to call Kobe a ballhog. He's made his team better and a possible contender. It might be the voters only opportunity to elect him legitimately ...

Chris Paul made the Hornets a great team with a more than decent record allmost completely by himself. He's young, and will probably be nominated for many years to come. So it would be reasonable to elect Bryant this season.
I hate to admit it but I believe Kobe deserves it more than me.
Did you see the games this weekend? Kobe put the exclamation point on the season. Spike's 17 cameras were on who?

MVP just went from split decision to unanimous.
even after CP3 played amazing, his team lost 2 straight, while the lakers won.

so Kobe is the MVP.
KB24 FOR SURE MAN!!!
it's still going to be cp3.
Kobe Bryant.
KOBE.

If NO beat LA a few days ago maybe it'd be a different story, but after Kobe helped L.A. dismantle the defending champs, it would no doubt be Kobe.

Runner-ups:

1. Chris Paul

2. Kevin Garnett

3. LeBron James
I don't like any of the people that are realistic canidates to win.

i hate kobe, i don't like lebron, chris paul i don't know very much honestly...

kobe will prob ***** win, i hate that ********** but oh well.

I want a Detroit Piston player to win it, there is a respectable team.
Chris Paul!!

If only Hornets won the Western Conference!

but if we can where is the place to go

For the nba mvp?tv on pc

Voting is done by 125 members of the media..three from each of the 30 NBA cities and the rest a mix of national writers and broadcasters. you cant vote its not up to the fans

sorry to disappoint ya

For the nba mvp?golf ,nba teams

you cant vote for the mvp. its gunna be a close race. kobe, lebron, or paul
dUMMY YOU cant

only sportswriters and coaches
No public voting. its not the allstar game... if it were done by fans, it would be a joke. fans dont vote on skill, they vote on popularity. those are not synominous...

each teams officials have a vote, the press has its own votes, and the league has votes as well. just sit back, and root for your fav player...
you can't

What two nba hall of famers have won the nba mvp and rookie of the year in the same season ?

they are the only players in nba history to accomplish that feat !

What two nba hall of famers have won the nba mvp and rookie of the year in the same season ?nba trade

Wilt Chamberlain and Wes Unseld. Wilt for his part averaged an incredible 37.6 points and 27 rebounds in his rookie year obliterating the previous regular-season records. He won both the NBA Most Valuable Player and NBA Rookie of the Year awards the first to do so. Unseld was drafted 2nd overall in the first round by the Baltimore Bullets in 1968, and helped lead the Bullets (who had finished in last place in the Eastern division the previous year) to a 57-25 record and a division title. Unseld averaged 18.2 rebounds per game that year, and became only the second player ever to win both Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player in the same season.

I do, but not because you want me to.
sorry but Kobe will win it but CP is def a worthy opponent and so is KG
cp3 has a great chance at winning it all though i think lebron is the best player out of Kobe, and Chris paul .... but lebron didint lead his team to that many wins like Cp3 did so he has a great shot i think he'll win it
HELL YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kobe locked it up when the Lakers won that final regular season meeting against the Hornets and got the top seed.

The fact that Kobe has never won it helps his cause too.

Its like a great actor whos been nominated but never won finally getting rewarded even if it wasn't necessarily his best performance.
You're a DUMBF**K!

:)

Garnett's gonna win it.
Should be. If he isn't, the voters are retarded.
i do he has been amazing so far they will sweep dallas cause of cp3
Not me.

This is Kobe's year.

What CP3 accomplished this year was great. I expect him to win the MVP later.
He's the most deserving player, but it will be given to Kobe Bryant due to name recognition and his past accolades.
sure yea whatever
Chris Paul for MVP.
